Dear Church Family,
As a church we are participating in the “Pray 31” initiative that encourages God’s people to pray for our nation through October. Today, October 6th, we are to pray “for the leaders, churches, and Christians of Florida and Georgia.” The verse that is listed for today is Philippians 4:6 which admonishes us to “ be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to make our requests be made known to God.” What a perfect day to pray for Florida as Hurricane Matthew is ready to hit the state and to be reminded that we are to pray and not worry. God is involved in the details of life and no future event takes Him by surprise.
This Sunday morning we will be looking at a future time period that God predicted over 1900 years ago. The passage is Revelation 13:11-18. The message title is “ Antichrist’s Right Hand Man.” Other verses that relate to the sermon are 2 Corinthians 12:12, Psalm 12:3-4, and I Corinthians 10:19-21. You will find this 1900 year old text as up to date as today’s news.
