Dear Church Family,
It is hard to prove somethings to other people. For instance, it is hard to prove that we are innocent when circumstantial evidence seems to point to our guilt. It is hard to prove that our motives are pure when others are having trouble trusting anyone about anything. Finally, it is hard to prove that some idea is true when people have had a lie pounded into their heads over and over again.
This Sunday morning we will prove the resurrection of Jesus. Our text is Matthew 28:11-15. The message title is “ Disproving the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Other verses that would be helpful to prepare you for the Sunday message are Mark 16:9-14, I Kings 18:18-19, and Acts 16:14-15. I trust that your faith will be fortified by our time in God’s Word and by singing about our faith and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Don’t forget about the all church breakfast at 10:00 am in lieu of Sunday School. It should be a great morning!
We will be spending time in prayer on Good Friday in the sanctuary from 6:00-7:00 pm. We have a large collection of meaningful prayer requests for you to lift up to the throne of grace. I am looking forward to seeing you sometime this weekend. Until then, may the life of Jesus give you all you need each moment of each day.
